I have been around animals my whole life. I was the neighborhood dog walker and pet sitter as a kid which fostered a deep love for animals. I worked at horse rescue for 5 years, spending the majority of my summer breaks tending to not only the horses but the alpacas, dogs, cats, chickens, goats, turkeys and whatever odd animal needed saving. I also worked as a barn hand to a professional barn, where I took care of over 30 horses. Between grooming, cleaning stalls, feeding, turning out and other odd jobs around the property I was always busy.
