About Raymond

Hi! My name is Raymond, and I'm a structural engineer in based in Oakland/Alameda. I have two years of paid private and group tutoring in math for high school students in Oakland. In college, I enjoyed working with my classmates and younger cohorts, offering help in math, physics, and engineering (solid mechanics, static mechanics) classes. I graduated with honors from UC San Diego with a minor in management science and have a Master's from UC Berkeley -- both in structural engineering. I am currently applying for my professional engineer (PE) license and would like to earn some extra money by helping students while my application is being approved! I like tutoring because I enjoy working with students to solve problems, helping to build consistent study habits, and see my students improve and succeed! In my spare time, I like to read (business, economics, and psychology) books. I also enjoy lifting weights and always "trying to get back into running".
