About Ray

I've been caring for children since my brother was born when I was 10 years old. It seems I was destined to be a caregiver. Since that time, I have done everything from babysitting to working as a live-in nanny, to teaching kindergarten. When my children were in the baby and toddler stages, I owned and operated a home daycare. I recently completed the RIE Foundations course as a way of deepening my work with infants. At this time in my life, my focus is on coaching parents, nannies and caregivers who want to practice respectful, gentle, and conscious caregiving. For many of us, finding care is daunting. As a parent I can fully relate to the struggle of searching for someone who can care for my child with the love, respect, and knowledge of child development. I opened a daycare in my home partly because I was unable to find anyone I felt I could trust with my children. I am passionate about helping to elevate child care by bringing respectful parenting techniques to families.
