About Simrat

Hi, I'm Sima! I am a graduate of the University of Maryland with a degree in Computer Science, but my passion for working with children has led me to develop extensive experience in childcare and tutoring. I have a strong background in education through my time at Kumon, where I tutored children of all ages in math and reading. This role helped me build skills in lesson planning, patience, and fostering a love for learning in children. For the past two years, I've balanced my remote job with hands-on childcare responsibilities, including afterschool pick-up, driving children to extracurricular activities, and organizing engaging activities to keep them entertained and cared for during the summer months. I'm dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. Whether it's tutoring or childcare, I strive to make every interaction meaningful and positive for both the children and their families.
