My name is Rashawn, and I have been working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities for 15 years. My first job in this field was assisting a gentleman with cerebral palsy. I helped him feed, bathe, exercise routines, and other daily activities. After that, I worked with a person with Down's Syndrome and helped him improve his social skills. I work at the Arc of Greater Prince William as a Recreation Inclusion Coordinator. My job is to plan and organize various activities and outings for the individuals who our agency serves. While working at The Arc, I worked with people with many disabilities. Working with people with disabilities is not just a job for me; I am passionate about it, and I believe it's my calling in life.
