I absolutely love getting messy with sensory play, doing lots of art projects, playing outdoors, reading tons of books, and so much more! I have been babysitting children since I was 13 years old. During the last couple of years of highschool I volunteered at an elementary public school. I have 3 1/2 years of experience working for a child care facility. I completed my CDA for infants and toddlers in the summer of 2019. Driving will not be an issue as I have a very reliable car. If needed, I can provide you with my resume. Raquel is incredibly patient and kind with our two girls - 5 & 7. She communicates well with parents. We hired her for 30 hrs/week during 2020-21 because of Covid restrictions that required home school for our 7yo and care for our 5yo. Raquel was flexible and always looking for ways to engage our girls with crafts & learning. She took them to playgrounds, learning opportunities, and they had regular visits to the library. She also navigated tough situations with neighborhood friends with kindness - many kids in our neighborhood play at our house/yard. She found a good balance between being fun and being in charge. Our girls gave her a bit of a rough start and challenged her, but she hung in there and they quickly came to absolutely love her. Now that our kids are in school full time she has moved to a new family, but she is our #1 babysitter and our girls are so excited when she comes over. She's part of our family.
