About Raqia

Former Art intructor for elementary students and current Fashion Teacher at School. I've done numerous workshops with children of all ages and I'm currently pursuing a startup non profit that focuses on teaching young students how to start a business and build credit early on. My primary focus is the arts. I believe freedom of expression is very important in one's upbringing so creativity is a huge asset in my style of teaching and sitting. I'm a huge stickler for structure and routine but I also believe in leaving room for responsible spontaneous activities. I am currently a part time caregiver to my two younger siblings with disabilities, aside from a professional setting, I have experience with handling children in a home setting that includes but is not limited to; cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner, school drop off and pick ups, medical appointments, tutoring, physical activities, and daily essentials.
