I have over 20 years of experience working with people of all ages who have been diagnosed with special needs. From the age of 9 years old, I helped my single mother raise my 2-year-old brother who was diagnosed with autism. We struggled as a family, as there was little to no resources available regarding the autism spectrum disorder at the time of my brother's diagnosis. However, we learned how to effectively communicate with one another and build stronger connections through those difficult times due to the diagnosis; It has helped shape me into the person who I am today. During college, I began babysitting for several families who had children with various disabilities. From the autism spectrum disorder, to other developmental disorders such as ADHD and Down syndrome, I have experience caring for those in need.
