I was a Physics and Mathematics middle school teacher for 3 years in my home country of Afghanistan, and moved to Boston in 1992. After spending some years raising my children, I started working as an assistant teacher with toddler-age children at a local preschool in Newton. Over my 25 years at the school, I took courses and workshops covering special needs children, child development, and early childhood education. Over the past year during COVID, I have been nannying for a local family in Newton, caring for their 2-year-old son. I develop engaging activities for him through the day, including creative play like painting and coloring and frequent outdoor activities like going to the park, water play, and sensory play. He will be going to preschool in the fall so I am looking for a new family to support!
