There's no substitute for practical experience! I have spent the last 2 years caring 24/7 for two family members with dementia. I learned firsthand that there is a big difference between working in a place where caregivers spend 30 mins with a resident vs caring for individuals for multiple hours at a time. Your family member will need someone who is kind and patient and can carry out a treatment plan. I have over 17 years of experience working in geriatrics. My background is in physical therapy and orthopedic rehab. I have a casual demeanor, but I can apply my clinical know-how where needed. I love pets and prefer only non-smoking environments.
