About Rakima

I have gained valuable experience in babysitting through caring for my own siblings, as well as my niece and nephew. This hands-on experience has provided me with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and rewards that come with caring for children. In particular, taking care of my younger brother, who has autism, has taught me patience and empathy. I genuinely enjoy spending time with kids and value the opportunity to be a positive role model in their lives. Additionally, during my time in 6th-12th grade, I had the privilege of working directly with a New York child care program called Henry Street Settlement. I was involved in their summer camp and after-school programs, where I had the opportunity to engage with youth in various activities such as homework help, sports, and theater. I absolutely loved working with the youth and found it incredibly fulfilling.
