I have extensive experience with children of all ability levels. In college, I was employed at a group home that specialized in the care of children with severe emotional disabilities as well as Autism Spectrum Disorder. This job, as well as other life experiences inspired me to major in special education with an emphasis in cognitive disorders. While in college, I worked extensively with children who have developmental disorders, as well as volunteered with the Special Olympics and a therapeutic riding organization. I am currently a 5th grade teacher here in Littleton, at a school that is ASD accommodating. I am patient, kind and energetic, which are qualities I believe you must have to work with children of every ability!
