About Rachel

I am a social worker but started my career as a vet tech at the Animal Humane Association of NM. I love animals, caring for and playing with them. I am limited on walking distance so will not be the best house sitter for very active/athletic dogs that need to walk on a leash. But I can play with dogs in a yard or at a dog park. I have two cats and speak fluent cat. I have cared for lots of mammals, reptiles, & fish. I'm looking for drop in pet care or house sitting gigs with light housekeeping or garden care. I'm also available for private lessons in crochet, knitting, embroidery, and sewing. I have federal children's mental health work clearance and, though I am not currently doing childcare, it will show up as a personal reference. I'm looking for a job that is safe and interesting, and pays a reasonable wage. In my spare time, I am a maker of many things. My pet care skills include feeding, playing, exercising, medicating, entertaining, soothing and comforting, cleaning up.
