I like caring for seniors because they each have their own unique story and are shaped by rich life experiences. Many seniors that I work with are grieving lost friends or dealing with feelings of isolation. There is nothing I enjoy more than offering true companionship and a listening ear! I'm looking for a job that offers me the opportunity to grow in my nursing practice while providing a necessary respite for family members. I also am looking for clear and thorough communication in addition to full honesty when it comes to what works best for your loved one. I started caring for seniors about five years ago when I began working as an RN in the hospital setting. After working as a travel nurse for several years during the pandemic, I switched my career focus towards . Today, the majority of patients I work with are over the age of 65. I find my work with the geriatric population to be incredibly fulfilling!
