About Rachel

To Whom it may concern: I have known Rachel for 13 years. We taught together in a blended, preschool special education classroom, and during this time, became friends. Over the past 13 years, I have witnessed Rachel care for many children. I have never met a more loving, caring, kind, patient, and compassionate person. She always puts others before herself; not only children but adults as well. She is the type of person that you love being around. Rachel has a beautiful light about her, and she has a way of making a person see the good in themselves. That is why she is so wonderful with children. She makes sure they feel safe, loved, and valued. She helps them to see their value and to love themselves. Rachel was always there to advocate for the children and their families. If those less fortunate needed something, she would help find the resources that these families needed. If a child came to school hungry, she would have extra food for them to eat in the classroom. Rachel would use her planning time to sit with them while they ate. That is the type person she is, kind, loving, and giving of her time and herself. I would trust Rachel in any situation, and in more times than I can count, have gone to her for advice. I believe that any family that invites Rachel into their lives will be truly blessed.
