I am based in Seattle and looking for a travel nanny position for an adventurous family. I have an experienced background as a teacher's assistant in a head start daycare, specializing in early childhood development and have taken child psychology courses. I have also had success effectively teaching Baby Sign Language to communicate with children as early as 10 months old. I started as a regular babysitter for 5 years and professional nanny for another 5 years. I am sufficient in: Gentle and respectful parenting. Teaching verbal and communication skills as well as motor skills. Potty training. Changing Diapers and caring for diaper rash. Sleep and feeding schedules. Preparing multiple meals/snacks a day. Rachel is absolutely amazing and I would highly recommend her to care for your children! Rachel is incredibly patient, responsible, caring, knowledgeable, proactive, sweet, and always on-time. We were lucky enough to find Rachel when our newborn was only 2 months old. As we were first time parents, Rachel taught us the ropes and cared for our baby as if she was her own. In the year and a half that Rachel has been with us, she has helped our baby reach all her milestones ahead of time. She even taught her sign language, which makes it so much easier to communicate! Every day it seems like our baby has learned something new from Rachel. She will be terribly missed by both our toddler and us as she has become part of our family.
