About Rachel

Hi! My name is Rachel and I am a K-2 Special Education teacher. I have been teaching special education for over 7 years. I have worked with students with many different diagnoses including Autism, Down Syndrome, CP, communication disorders, ERI/BD, and others. I am comfortable handling different behaviors and challenges that may come our way. I currently use ABA strategies as well as work closely with the behavior consultant to follow individualized behavior plans. I am also familiar with many different types of AAC devices. I absolutely love working with children from newborn - elementary age. Working with children with special needs is truly my passion! I hope I can connect with families who need a reliable and loving caregiver for their child/children :) I am looking for some work for the month of August as well as continuing into the school year.
