I have worked with a 14-year-old girl that has developmental delays, a seizure disorder and a few other medical issues. I also continue to work with a thirteen-year-old boy that has ADHD, OCD, ODD, and Depression. I love working with special needs because I find it so rewarding. It has been a big part of my life for many years now. I started working with disabled children when I was actually in elementary school as a visiting friend in their classroom during recess. I started working babysitting when I was fourteen between typical and special needs. I currently am finishing some classes online for high school but will be graduating very soon and I have flexible hours. My mother is also a nurse so I can learn things to do such as G-tubes and dressings. I do know how to handle a seizure. I also have experience giving medications.
