About Rachel

My name is Rachel, and I've been working in education for about 18 years at a private elementary school. I'm an administrator but have experience in and out of the classroom setting. For example, I've taught after-school classes, such as Slimy Science, Math Minions, and Chopped (ages 3-10). I can speak and write English fluently, but my Spanish isn't great. I believe in fostering a positive environment for children to learn and thrive, and support their individual development and interests. I'm patient, calm, friendly, and approachable. I use Responsive Classroom training in and out of the classroom and educational setting- encouraging children to think, speak, and act for themselves. I've worked with children of all ages, from infants to preteens, and have personal experience raising my own son. I'm confident I can provide a safe, fun, nurturing, and educational environment for your child(ren). I look forward to getting to know you and your family!
