About Rachel

My name is Rachel, and I reside in the Ravenswood area. I've worked in education for about 18 yrs (3-14 y/o). I was an administrator at a private elementary school in Old Town until recently. I can speak and write English fluently, however, my Spanish isn't that great. I've worked with children of all ages, and have personal experience raising my own son. I've taught after-school classes, such as dance, science, and cooking. Additionally, I have over 5 yrs experience as a nanny. I believe in fostering a positive environment for children to learn and thrive, and support their individual development and interests. I'm patient, calm, playful, and approachable. I use Responsive Classroom training in and out of the classroom and educational setting- encouraging children to think, speak, and act for themselves.
