Hi, I am Rachel and have a wide range of experience when it comes to kids! I am still undecided on where I want to go with my career. But one thing I have always known is I love kids! At a young age I took on the caregiver roll and have been the same way ever since. Growing up I watched kids of all ages due to younger cousins/siblings. When I was 12 my mom had my youngest sibling, L, and I was very hands on from the start. I gained so much experience with infants and now with her being 9 I have been able to help her grow up which has made me really confident that I can provide great care for children. With that being said, I am also very organized, hard working, reliable individual. In my most recent years I have nanny experience starting with infants to up to 10 years old. In my most recent nannying position I watched up to 4 kids at once all under the age of 9. I love learning new things and I am very adventurous! Please message me if you have any further questions!

Upon initial conversation she seemed like an incredible fit. Seemed to understand my expectations and needs. I paid her $18 an hour. I always laid things out for her, suggested activities to do. I would prep food for her to feed my son. I asked how my son was and she never seemed to have anything bad to say. So if he was hard for her I never knew about it and she had plenty of time to speak up. We agreed on Mondays and Thursdays as she had a another nanny family the other days. I always had her come even if I didn't work to give her hours. I would text and let her know when to come or let her choose when to come. She became unreliable with no notice of not coming to work: I understand things happen but there was more then one occasion she claimed to be on way but then went back home because she was sick. Again, I didn't mind she was sick if that's what it was it's how she went about it. She would text me less then 30 mins before. She also in the beginning didn't want a contract and was anal about being paid. I never didn't not pay her, always paid her on Friday or-sooner. I think she wanted daily pay. After these few incidents I told her I'd like to do a contract. She said that was fine. I asked for her email for her to review it before I printed and signed. She then decided to not show for work. This is to me is unreliable, unprofessional and disrespectful. It also gives off the just showing for a paycheck vibe. I think she might have personal stuff going on that might be affecting her work. I do not have hard feelings but as someone who was a nanny at once and hired a nanny I expect more. I would hate for someone else to hire her and run into issues. Perhaps like I said she is going through stuff and needs a second chance but I'll let someone else make the call!
