About Rachel

I am a mother and teacher. My son is 3 years old, and my nephews whom I sat are now in college. As a teacher I have worked with newborns and toddlers in a daycare and early intervention. The bulk of my teaching has been with preschool age (age 3-4) through college (ELL). I have taught pre-school for 4 years and worked with elementary-high school for 17 years in both the US and Germany. Most of my students have been special needs. I have managed four summer camps, and worked an fifth overseas. My family has food allergies, and my son is highly allergic to all animal milk. I am personally familiar with Celiac Disease and Crohn's, and am aware when preparing food for severe allergies. I am bilingual in English and German, and know basic ASL and Japanese. I have my food permit and am wilderness first aid trained. I have a BA in linguistics and in German (two total) Minored in theatre and in history (two total) Have my TESOL teaching certificate I began teaching in 2008.
