About Rachel

Hello, my names Rachel and I am a fully credentialed teacher with a master's degree in education! During the COVID-19 pandemic, I taught a pod of 7 first graders. As their pod teacher, I created unique and engaging educational materials, including morning writing packets, daily math review worksheets, and classroom games to reinforce concepts learned, such as sign language, telling time, and counting money. Each of my students' individual AR levels rose by an average of one full grade level in less than six months. When my students returned to school full time, I was hired by their school as a Response to Intervention Teacher. During this time, I supported small groups of students (grades 1-5) in SIPPS, LLI, math instruction, and ABC Foundational skills. I also have years of prior experience tutoring students in varying subject areas. I currently employed with NMUSD again as a part time teacher. I am currently available for tutoring in the afternoons M-Th.
