Rachel has been a huge help to us this summer. My husband and I were looking for a regular, part-time caregiver for our 22-month-old daughter for the summer months. As soon we completed our interview, my husband and I agreed (which is rare!) that she would be great for our family. Rachel has a great personality, suited well for interacting with a child as well as communicating with parents. She is smart, funny, sincere, and she possesses self-awareness and confidence that belie her age. My daughter was at ease with her within minutes of their meeting, and that is saying A LOT for a baby who has never transitioned easily to new people and in novel situations. So when my daughter first expressed some anxiety at signs of my leaving her, I was shocked at how naturally and easily Rachel redirected her attention, quickly calming her (and me). When I come home, my daughter is always relaxed, in a good mood, and I know that she has been getting Rachel's undivided attention. While we have only known her for a summer, I just can't say enough about how easily Rachel fits into our family, and we will miss her much when she goes back to school for the year. I recommend Rachel without reservation to any family seeking a reliable, personable, child-focused caregiver. You will be lucky to have her!
