I have had experience providing care for those with special needs for 8+ years. Some experiences I have include working as a camp counselor, paraprofessional, tutor, and most recently a 5th grade literacy special educator. Within my roles, I have gained experience working with a range of disabilities across ages (elementary age through adulthood) including autism, developmental delays, mental health/ behavioral needs, specific learning disabilities, etc. I have a bachelors from the University of Vermont in Secondary English Education (grades 7-12), and Special Education (grade 8 - age 21). As of Fall 2021, I will be pursuing my masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have also worked as a babysitter and tutor. I emphasize a full child-centered approach in my role, encouraging curiosity, empathy, self-confidence, and a zeal for fun!
