About Rachel

17 years experience teaching math at various levels, including special education. Creative, patient and energetic! I love to show students "tricks" to make concepts easier, and allow them to work problems in multiple ways to see what works best for them. I absolutely love working with children of all ages, and channeled that passion into teaching and coaching in the public school system for 17 years (various subjects, but mainly math and Special Education, for grades 6th-12th). I also worked closely with younger children in sport and summer camps, and babysit often for coworkers and friends. I am very high energy and active, and thrive off of organization and keeping busy. I am looking to work with more children over the summer, and I hope to be of service to your family!
