From early childhood education, to tutoring, to doula training, to having my own baby in early 2020, I've been working with children in a number of capacities for nearly 15 years. I see every baby and child as a whole, intelligent being inherently worthy of understanding and respect. Along with keeping the children I care for emotionally and physically safe, I believe my role as a caregiver is to tune into and support each child and family's unique needs. Before taking on a job, I'll want to know a little about your family and any parenting/caregiving philosophies that are important to you so I can provide consistency. More than just a "sitter" or "nanny," my goal is to be a nurturing presence for your children and extension of support for your family. As a parent myself, I know how hard it is to stay on top of everything, so I'm happy to help with household tasks and meal preparation as well. I'm not shy about asking questions, so I encourage you to direct any to me, too!

Rachael has been so helpful to our family! She stepped in to take care of our 1 year old daughter when her nanny quit. Rachael always brought over fun toys, and activities (including a Pikler Triangle) for her to play with. Then, after my son was born, we hired Rachael as a postpartum Doula to help out a few times a week. She was great with our son, who had Colic and cried a LOT. She sang to him, fed him, soothed him, let him sleep on her, etc. she also takes awesome pictures! Rachel also helped with chores around the house - folding and putting away laundry, dishes, making my daughters school lunches, and more. Anything we needed Rachael would do. She is extremely trustworthy, non judgmental, helpful, and kind. Rachael was here day or night (she has availability for both times), when we needed her. I highly recommend you hire her and we will definitely be using her again.
