About Rachael

My name is Rachael. I am currently a senior through Eastern studying Rehabilitation for disabilities. I have worked with children one on one, in group childcare settings, and through summer camps. From my previous work experience, I have learned to approach each individual from a strengths model wehether they have a disability or not. I am able to understand their feelings and adapt activities in a way that will work best for the specific individual. I am very tolerant and understanding. I work well in difficult situations and under pressure. If a situation is overwhelming, I am not afraid to ask for help. I am creative when coming up with activities for any age. I have worked with ages ranging from 6 months to 13. Through my education, leadership, and volunteer experiences. I love to provide a fun environment for children while still keeping them safe. I am open to caring for individuals in their home setting as well as taking them into the community for events, the pool, etc. I have previously worked as a assistant program director in a recreation setting where I managed an arts and crafts program, field sports program, equestrian program, and water sports program.
