About Quinna

To whom it may concern, This letter is to provide my full and unconditional recommendation for the services of Quinna, affectionately known to our two children as their Mimi. Quinna has been our nanny since summer 2021 joining our family shortly after the birth of our first child. This was a rough time for the country as this was the peak of the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. We both work in healthcare so having reliable childcare was necessary as we were expected to work long days often with little to no notice. Quinna took to our daughter as if she was her own grandchild, which was exactly the relationship we were hoping for after we interviewed her and extended an offer. She cared for and raised our daughter as much, if not more than we did for the first 18 months, always with patience and compassion. After the first year we shared with Quinna that we were blessed with a second child. She was excited and rose to the occasion of having to care for two children under two. In winter of 2023 and shortly after the birth of our son, we moved from Ormond Beach to Orlando. We did not hesitate to ask Quinna if she would consider making the move with us as our daughter loves her dearly. At great personal sacrifice, she made the transition and lived with us in Orlando five days a week, spending the weekend with her husband back in Ormond Beach. I did have one singular reservation; would having her full time in the same house take away from our time with our children because they would gravitate to her more than their parents? Quinna discretely ensured we had the space to spend time with our children while she was "off duty" and not once did that concern ever come to fruition. Throughout her time with our children, Quinna kept them engaged taking them on adventures to the library for story time, creating story boards for learning, and doing arts and crafts together. She recognized holidays and knew our birthdays and so helped our children make personalized cards with their handprints, or written messages or whatever scribble counts for writing by a two-year-old. She facilitated travel to whatever appointments were needed even taking them out to lunch frequently at her own expense, We trust her implicitly and at no point haz she violated our trust. in fact disclosing to us immediately when something unfortunate occurred as accidents sometimes happen. She never missed a day that was not worked out in advance and accommodated our few requests without judgement. As Quinna herself states, the job is not forever as children grow and life moves on and so that time has come with our children. I would not hesitate to do it all over again. Allowing Quinna into our family to care for our children was the best decision. I hope you provide her the opportunity to do the same.
