I have had worked in nursing homes such as Split rock on Baychester in the Bronx as a therapeutic recreation specialist. My duties as recreation specialist we're to help resident whether they were bed bound or not to participate in activity such as engaging in conversations, playing games, arts and crafts , music, drama or/and exercise. I also helped guided them in everyday daily living activities such as hygiene, walking, transportation feeding and grooming. Working with seniors has always made my heart fonder and I have always enjoy giving back to those who once cared for us.
