About Preetha

Hi there! Happy to meet you! I am looking to work with families who need a part-time or gig-based caretaker for their child(ren). I have a background working in nurseries and daycares with children ranging in ages from 2 to 12, in a college prep school teaching English to middle and high schoolers, and at a social service agency working as a child caretaker/advocate. I have a deep passion for children's health, wellness, and joy. It is of utmost importance to me that a child's imagination, empathy, curiosity, and playful energy is well supported and encouraged by a stable, structured, and supportive surround. I love helping kids think outside the box while making sure they have well defined boxes. A bit more about me: I am a California-native who has fallen in love with Chicago (and the Midwest)! I'm a big reader, a pet lover, and a pretty solid chef. Over the past two years, I've also taken up watercolor, improv, salsa dancing, and biking. Looking forward to connecting. :)
