Hello, I have been providing literacy intervention to children in grades K-5 at three LAUSD schools as well as three literacy nonprofits. My approach is based on the foundational pillars of literacy, including an explicit, systematic, individualized, multisensory approach aligned with Science of Reading. Relying on assessments students will begin working on a scope and sequence that matches their foundational literacy skills including phonological awareness, phonics, vocabulary, morphology, and comprehension. The philosophy I follow is determined by your child's needs. I am trained by the Orton Gillingham Academy completing the Classroom Educators Course as well as the Associate Level Course. My training also includes Heggerty, 95%, UFLI, FRC, and Amplify I and a passion for equity in education believing all childrendeserve consistent explicit instruction during the active and cognitive process of making meaning from print. Once you learn to read, you truly do love to read!
