About Phyllis

I'm a young-at-heart retiree with a lifelong love of babies and toddlers. I've recently moved back to Traverse City after a wonderful career started here teaching high school Theatre Arts and English, followed more recently by part-time tutoring,. In retirement, though, my happiest times are babysitting for my daughter's friends who are now having babies, and nearby neighbors who recently had their third child. They've appreciated my help, and I am delighted to do so as a perfect way to make their lives easier and allow me to use my creativity and love with their children. So I am transitioning now from tutoring to babysitting, and promise you will have a mature, responsible adult with your child's safety and happiness as number one priority. Perhaps I can assist you along the way with some light housekeeping, pet care (I have a beloved dog Missy), etc. I am particularly good with developing language and learning skills, and know how to encourage early creative problem solving.
