About Phyllis

In retiring from teaching & tutoring, I'm transitioning to my favorite joy: creatively and safely caring for infants and toddlers. I keep up with my adult daughter's friends and young families while they advance in their careers in an effort to encourage and help them. Many of my former students were being raised by their grandmothers alone, so I know the wonderful patience and experience an older babysitter can bring to the "village" a child needs from infancy on. I know, enjoy, and employ best practices for child development so necessary in children 1-3. I'm able to help out with a bit of light housekeeping, pet care, etc. to help keep less stress in your life, but your infant or toddler will be my first priority. I've been lucky to have tutored multiple students in a family over several years. I'm only accepting Child Care jobs now, but I think my creativity as a teacher builds a real comfort with kids of any age and their families. I'm young at heart & fun.
