Hi, my name is Phoebe (they/them). I am a musician, and I study Communications and Psychology. I am trained in infant and child CPR, a non-smoker, and comfortable with pets. I am a natural caregiver who grew up in a large family, and have been working in childcare my entire adult life. I am attentive to developmental milestones, and love engaging little ones in age-appropriate activities that encourage sensory and motor development. I am happy to help with light housekeeping like vacuuming, laundry, and meal prep, and I am used to working in homes where parents are present and working from home. Honoring a child's individuality and respecting their autonomy are core tenets of my approach. Beginning when my son was 14 months, Phoebe watched him 34 hours a week for 4 months. From the start, she was a natural caregiver towards him and quickly became a part of our family. With ease she knew exactly how to care for him, when to put him down for a nap, when he was hungry, when he just needed someone to read him a book. The four months Phoebe was with us, our house was always filled with music and our son truly thrived in the environment she created for him. His vocabulary, his walking skills, his creativity and silliness were only enhanced and enriched thanks to Phoebe's time with him. She kept everything organized and was truly an essential part of our household. If we still lived closed to Phoebe, I would not hesitate to hire her again.
