About Peyton

I am a recent graduate from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina with a degree in Social Work. My most recent job this summer was working at a summer camp as one of two leaders for 11 6-year-olds from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. During college I was a nanny for two years of a 7-year-old boy and an 11-year-old girl. Prior to that I was a lifeguard for two years and was a babysitter. I also worked with the Vacation Bible School at Shady Grove Methodist Church for 3 summers as well as assisting their Children's Church throughout High School. I like working with kids because they always bring joy to a situation and I love to be a supportive person for them. Children always remind me to appreciate all the small things that we can enjoy in life, and I love the way that young people see the world. Whenever I have time I love to draw, paint, read, watch movies, go on hikes, go swimming, make crafts, do puzzles, do yoga, journal, and go to art museums.
