To whom it may concern: Five years ago, while still living in Spain, our family hired Francis to take care of our two children. One year later we moved to US to work for the World Bank Group and we had a third child. Francis has been a great addition to our family and has been key in our transition to living in the States. We are currently moving to the UK on a new assignment and she is looking to stay in the States with a new family. Francis is a 40-year old Nicaraguan national; she is a very hardworking, experienced, warm, punctual, discreet, reliable and responsible person. She has taken full time care of our three children since the last two were born. Francis was tremendously valuable in getting them on good sleeping, eating and play schedules. Francis also has carried out several of the house daily chores while the children slept or played, e.g. maintaining the house, preparing the family s meals (she is capable of preparing healthy nutritious meals), or doing the laundry. She has always been very flexible and open to working overtime or travel with the family whenever it has been required. Francis is a gentle, loving nanny who cares about our children s needs and development. She is warm and nurturing and always places our children s physical and emotional needs above everything else. Our kids have been in extremely good hands. She has valuable experience and she will follow very well directions regarding the type of education and attention you want for your child. She is very active in taking the children to the park and setting up play dates. Francis reads and speaks fluently Spanish and reads and understand English very well, starting to speak good English since she attends English classes on the weekends. She transported our children on age-appropriate outings while we were living in Spain. She will soon receive her US driver's license. Francis has been living in DC for the last 4 years, so she knows the area well. She loves her work and has a lot of energy! Because of her experience and attitude, we cannot recommend her enough. For this current transition in the States, Francis will need to be sponsored with a visa, preferably a G5. Francis came to us with excellent references from families where she spent years taking care of young children. She prefers a live-in position with a family in the Washington area but can also look for a live-out position if appropriate. You can contact her directly.
