About Penny

My name is Penny and I would love to spend my summer building connections and memories with your family! I have spent the last 2 summers working at Mankato ACES, leading small and large groups of children through crafts, playtime, and field trips. I am timely and good at keeping to a jam-packed schedule. My favorite places to be during the summer is at the pool and the zoo, but I love to spend a day indoors playing games, reading books, watching movies or creating a craft. I've been CPR and First Aid certified in the past, though my certification lapses this summer (I am willing and able to get recertification completed). I drive a hatchback car that is perfect for packing sports equipment or bags for a field trip. I have also spent the last 3 years as a Math Tutor at Hoover Elementary leading small group interventions. This role has helped me connect children with fun ways to improve upon their math skills. I am a non-smoker who is friendly with pets.
