I had a medium sized male dog since I was very young. He passed when I was a freshman in high school and I loved caring for him. I would always make sure he was fed, gave him treats, took him for walks, took him outside, and love playing with him. I also had lots of fish when I was young and would make sure they were fed, cleaned their tank, and made sure they had everything they needed. I have two cats now and absolutely love them. I care for them all the time on my own because they are mine. I have also had experience caring for family and friends pets while they are out of town or even when they are busy and just need a little help.
