About Paula

I first worked with many senior citizens when I was a manager at IFC Homestart in Chapel Hill. This is a women and children's shelter. During that time I also cared for my Grandmother who was ill for sometime. My son passed away in 2013 and he had a clotting disorder. He was in and out of Duke Hospital for years and I was his main caregiver . I have a great deal of healthcare knowledge and have been trained in first aid and CPR . I worked in a preschool for a year and I then was a nanny for 2 infants for 2 years after my Son died . I have worked with many senior citizens volunteering through my church . I have also helped with several terminally ill patients in the last several years. I can take blood pressure and monitor your vitals as well as your oxygen levels and renal function if need be. I would be interested in full or part time. I am a very good companion. My last 6 years have been with Alzheimer's or dementia patients . I am happy to provide references.
