I have tutored several children of varying ages over the years; family and friends' children. I love history, have a BA in Social Work with a minor in English, and love the humanities. Math for elementary and middle school students is fine but I'm not gifted in high school maths. Sciences are doable, as well, as I can read ahead to re-educate myself. I feel that my real value as a tutor is in helping students develop strategies for studying that are specific to their needs. As a social worker I spent almost 10 years working with individuals with developmental disabilities. This experience helped me to learn non-traditional methods of learning. I also have extensive experience dealing with learning disabilities, autism, and behavioral issues, if those are skills that may interest you. Thank you for considering me.
