My name is Patsy. I moved to Dunnellon in 2013 from Steamboat Springs, CO to be closer to my Mom. I've recently retired from 12 yrs as Resident Care Aide at an ALF in Crystal River. Having no prior experience in this field, I soon fell in love with the residents. I've worn many hats in my life, professionally speaking & have found caregiving to be most challenging of all-physically, mentally & emotionally, however also the most rewarding & worthwhile work I've ever done. I truly enjoy establishing, growing &nurturing relationships with my seniors as well as their families. My experience in this field brings that of assisted daily living tasks, as well as skills with Alzheimer's, Dementia, Parkinson's & Stroke victims. I've been told I've a special knack in these areas. I am dependable, caring, trustworthy & very passionate about my work. I'm happy to provide letters of recommendation from family members of previous residents. I have been friends with Patsy for twenty six years. When our children were young we helped each other with child care. I was always confident that Patsy was more than capable of handling any situation that came up. I believe her caring compassionate personality would be a very desirable characteristic in her care giving. She is an enthusiastic hard worker that takes pride in what she does. I did some housekeeping under her supervision and was impressed by her attention to detail and ability to communicate. I believe Patsy's kindness and desire to do a good job makes her a valuable employee.
