Patty was with our family through some of the hardest months of our lives. A fire displaced our family in Lahaina Hawaii. We were suddenly housing two elders, and took guardianship of an 8 year old nephew while raising our 19 month old. One of the elders was diagnosed with terminal cancer and we were absolutely in crisis when Patty started working with us. She was the duct tape that held our family together. She raised 4 children of her own and has all the pro tips. Example: My toddler was wholeheartedly tantruming because I had to leave. 2 minutes later I receive a smiling picture of my son on her hip holding as many oranges as he could from the fruit bowl. She recognizes which moments are for teaching and which just need a quick distraction. Her energy is unflinchingly calm and easy with kids, whatever state they are in. She is fun too, will jump into whatever they're doing with a sparkle in her eye. As a teammate to parents, She is a thoughtful, intentional communicator that can handle basically anything. Prior to her work in care she managed executives for a massive organization. Her project management skills are evident in everything she does. I can confirm that she is capable in an emergency. We faced them in our time together. Once, she absorbed the 8 year old into her family for nearly 48 hours on no notice when things fell apart for us. I joked that she was like a hired sibling, we knew she was truly on our team and invested in supporting us through this terrible season. It was known that she'd be moving before we started working together. She helped us replace her and we loved the team she connected us with. We were incredibly fortunate to have Patty.
