I am a retired speech language pathologist who worked in various schools for over 15 years. I worked with a wide range of children from those with typical cognitive abilities to those with very severe disabilities, both mental and physical. I have a special interest in autism and have successfully worked with children to help them navigate a neurotypical world. I strongly believe in working with a child's strengths and interests rather than trying to change or "fix" them to fit into a mold created by someone else. A caveat - I will not do ABA. I have always had a heart for children and believe that every child should have the chance to have a fulfilling life no matter what they are able or unable to do. Every child matters and there is a place for every child. It has been my supreme honor and pleasure to play a small part in helping many children achieve their goals on their way to becoming an autonomous adult.
