About Pamela

I have had no professional adult caretaking experience but have taken care of children of many ages and raised my own successfully. I have worked with older people in nursing homes when I was a speech-language pathologist and understand their challenges and needs. I had experience with my own mother who developed dementia and eventually had a stroke and a heart attack. My education, training, and experience with older adults helped me understand, help, and love her more than ever as she declined. I have experience working with children of all ages with executive functioning needs and have set up many organizational aids and strategies for them, myself, and members of my family as well. I am compassionate, kind, and gentle. I get along with most everyone and have many years of dealing successfully with difficult people while I was a public transit bus driver. While working at a special needs private school as an SLP, I had CPI training and have also been CPR and First Aid certified.
