I have a BS degree in Education of Exceptional Children. I have experience caring for a child with cerebral palsy and severe developmental delays. After meeting with his physical therapist, I assisted with home stretching exercises. I also made use of communication boards. I also have experience dealing with severe food allergies. I have been instructed in the use of an EpiPen, (fortunately, I have never had to use one.) I also know how to use an inhaler. During my last summer at college, I volunteered at a program for the Mentally retarded where I worked one on one developing self help and communication skills. I enjoy spending time with children of all abilities.
