I have have a spot in my heart for children with special needs for quite some time. I spent last summer as a camp counselor at a camp for children with intellectual disabilities. In this experience I got to care for children with many different types of disabilities and assisted them with any task needed (feeding, bathroom assistance, transferring, etc.) to help them have an amazing time at camp with their peers. I enjoy working with kids because helping them reach milestones as well as have fun is what it is all about.
