Living in the Dominican Republic and Panama as a child while my father was the American ambassador, I was totally immersed in the language and became fluent in Spanish. In the distant past, I tutored neighboring Virginia children in this language. Majoring in Applied Fine Art, with in-depth studies in History Of Art, I have engaged throughout my career in the restoration/renovation of 11 (some historic landmark) properties in five states, extending the artistic expression to the landscape as well. There is no doubt that math has been an instrument to these successful endeavors. Clear thinking is developed by facts logically understood and stated. To this end, young minds need concerted efforts by their caregivers, whether in school or at home. I believe my experience lends itself to this purpose.
