About Olivia

Hello! My name is Olivia and I recently left my full time teaching position with CCSD to pursue other opportunities for a more wholistic child care and teaching approach. I am a certified Special Education teacher in South Carolina with 6 years of teaching experience. I graduated Cum Laude from High Point University in 2018 and taught in NC up until Covid hit. During the Covid shutdown my classroom and program with the school district was closed due to funding, so I moved back home to PA and homeschooled for a private family for a little over a year. After living in PA for a year I realized I had become a "southern wimp" in terms of weather so I began searching and ended up moving to Charleston for a job at an all special needs school where I have taught at since. I have taught and worked with children with special needs, children with IEPs, and children in general education. I have a deep love for learning and love to see every child experience success in their own way.
