About Olivia

Hi! I'm currently a sophomore at Virginia Tech majoring in Philosophy and Political Science. I have a year of experience as a lifeguard for a community pool in Bethlehem, PA for the City of Bethlehem Recreation and am CPR and Red Cross First Aid certified. I also have a year of experience volunteering for the Boys and Girls Club of Bethlehem. Through lifeguarding, volunteering, and previous babysitting jobs I have worked with children ranging from infants to 14-year-olds. I have been a babysitter and pet-sitter for the past 5 years on and off for family friends! While my main job description as a lifeguard is to ensure the children's safety while in the water, I heavily enjoyed being off-stand and coming up with fun games and activities for the kids to make their experience as fun as possible. Working with the Boys and Girls Club is an extremely fulfilling experience and has allowed me to connect with the children, lead fun summer programs, and gave me great experience in mentoring.
